Position Introduction:

Looking for a career where your work truly matters? Join the Health Campus police team and help protect people, property, and campus life. Police Officers enforce laws and university policies, patrol on foot or by vehicle, respond to emergencies, investigate crimes and traffic incidents, and provide security for events. Duties include report writing, evidence collection, serving warrants, testifying in court, traffic and parking enforcement, building security, and assisting the campus community. Officers also serve as Campus Security Authorities (CSA), report suspicious or hazardous activity, and may perform armed courier duties.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • None.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License upon hire
  • Must be certified as a Peace Officer by the Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) within 6 months of hire
  • Obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification through the department
  • Must pass medical exam, as well as a physical fitness test
  • Must pass standardized written aptitude test, pass Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and California Psychological Inventory (CPI) psychometric tests
