Pay Range: Targeted salary $22.83 hourly, based on experience

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., may include some weekends

Position Introduction:

The Accessibility and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) is looking for a Digital Accessibility Specialist to join its team. The Digital Accessibility Specialist will serve as the primary resource and point of contact for students in the ADRC who need access through accessible and adaptive technologies, including (but not limited to) text to speech software or Brailed materials. This position requires a balance of digital skills and engagement with students, faculty, and staff to develop and determine accessible accommodations for students which also meet course objectives as identified by the professor. Attention to detail is necessary to provide accurate information and data for planning purposes, as well checking documents for accessibility with accessible technologies. The Digital Accessibility Specialist may assist with drafting and reviewing policies and procedures for the ADRC as well as the Division of Access and Opportunity and the University of Oklahoma. This role works and collaborates with students, faculty, and staff and must be able to do so in a professional and positive manner.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field.

Equivalency/Substitution: Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.  

Required Experience:

  • 1 year of experience with computer programming, computer systems or related field.
