Pay Range: Commensurate with education and experience

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Frequent weekends and holidays during the competition season

Position Introduction:

The goal of the Women’s Gymnastics Director of Operations role is to advance the mission and values of the Women's Gymnastics program, providing student-athletes with the resources necessary to compete for championships, excel in the classroom, and prepare for successful lives after graduation. Responsible for managing all general business operations for the women’s gymnastics team, including but not limited to budgeting, equipment inventory, purchasing, travel arrangements, event scheduling, competition contracts, summer camps, and compliance reporting. Will maintain consistent contact with the sports information director, marketing, event management, and compliance. Responsible for overseeing the management of the Team 10 booster club. Assists the Meet Director in ensuring precise execution of all home meets, including oversight and management of judging officials.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists coaching staff with coordination, guidance, direction, and supervision of the Women’s Gymnastics program.
  • Provides office administration/management and professional administrative support to the coaching staff.
  • Acts as the liaison between the business office and the head coach in the development and maintenance of the team budget.
  • Acts as liaison with the equipment manager and monitors the purchase of uniforms, equipment, and supplies throughout the year.
  • Oversees record maintenance.
  • Approval authority for payment of invoices, interdepartmental transfers, payroll, and other similar instruments, which obligate departmental funds.
  • Conducts all purchasing activities.
  • Coordinates program's future match schedule.
  • Coordinates administrative approval of match contracts as well as opponents’ administrative approval.
  • Assists with equipment maintenance.
  • Arranges all aspects of team travel logistics and meals.
  • Plans and coordinates official visit travel, meals, and itineraries, while ensuring timely communication with the Compliance Office regarding all associated activities.
  • Develop and administer office/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Can serve as a liaison between boosters, alumni, and other off-campus partners and the program.
  • Acts as liaison to event management and athletics facility maintenance teams for security, maintenance, and space allocation with the department’s physical environment.
  • Maintain program integrity and administrative support to ensure a positive student-athlete experience.
  • Performs various duties as assigned by the Women’s Gymnastics Head Coach and based on team needs.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 36 months of collegiate experience in assigned sport.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 84 months of experience.

Department Preferences:

  • 60 months of experience in women’s gymnastics operations.
