Pay Range: Targeted salary of $14, based on experience.

Work Schedule: 

  • Students will meet weekly during normal business hours.
  • Additional hours will be contingent upon the class they will be observing and when they schedule to meet with their faculty partner.

Position Introduction:

We are looking for Developing Understanding and Engagement Together (DUET) Student Fellows who will complete up to eight hours of training during Summer 2026 and continue to work up to five hours weekly in Fall 2026. Fellows will partner with faculty to explore, analyze, revise, affirm, and/or imagine teaching and learning.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall term as a student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
  • Students from any field of study may apply
  • Must be able to work up to five hours per week during Fall 2026

Job Duties:

  • Complete an online onboarding prior to the start of Fall 2026
  • Attend weekly meetings with other DUET Student Fellows
  • Collaboratively partner with a DUET Faculty Fellow through weekly meetings and observance of a class, approximately once a week
  • Meet with other DUET participants (including other DUET Faculty Fellows) during small and large cohort gatherings as scheduled
  • Participation in panels or other communication strategies to share student classroom experiences with instructors across campus
  • Support additional special projects as needed relating to teaching and learning

Up to 5 hours weekly during the Fall semester. Schedule based in part on availability of all student fellows during hours 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, and teaching schedule and availability of DUET Faculty Fellow partner.

  • Strong interpersonal skills that promote understanding, trust, partnership and collaboration
  • Highly organized with good time management skills
  • Ability to deliver honest, constructive, inquiry-based feedback
