Pay Range: Targeted salary of $12.00/hour, based on education and experience.

Benefits Eligible: No

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may include some weekends)

Travel: May be required

Position Introduction:

Work study position supporting the counseling team at The Center for Children and Families in Norman.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in administrative tasks such as uploads, filing, and organization
  • Assist with maintaining the waitlist for clinical team as required
  • Help expand and develop resource lists
  • Assist with tabling events as required
  • Participate in quality improvement activities
  • Attend staff meetings and agency-sponsored trainings as assigned
  • Order and stock counseling snacks while adhering to a budget and meeting inventory needs
  • Organize, clean and res-set playroom materials
  • Child care for counseling and parent support groups: occasional evening
  • Adhere to child abuse reporting guidelines as required
  • Complete other duties as assigned in support of the Clinical Program

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Work Study 
    • Degree path in social work, social services, human services, education, psychology, or other social service education preferred.

Required Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Ability to operate a personal computer using e-mail, word processing and other applications related to assigned duties
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt to change and be flexible
  • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as directed by HIPAA and 42 CFR
  • Ability to maintain organization and prioritization of tasks
  • General knowledge and experience with serving culturally diverse populations
  • General knowledge of the impact of trauma
