Pay Range: Targeted salary range of $10.00-$12.00/hour, based on education and experience.

Benefits Eligible: No

Work Schedule: General Monday-Friday with some evening or weekend events.

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

We’re looking for someone who loves Taiwan and Taiwanese culture! Have you been to Taiwan? Do you love learning Chinese? We might be a good fit for you!

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Tell people about our amazing study abroad opportunities
  • Speak Chinese
  • Work with a social media calendar
  • Use Canva, Sharepoint/onedrive, and socials like Instagram and Facebook
  • Support our in-person events
  • We don’t expect perfection, just come with an open mind!

Required Education and Experience:

Must be currently enrolled in the Fall Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.

Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Skills:

  • Help with department initiatives promoting Mandarin Language learning.
  • Promote center through Mandarin Center Social media accounts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office and One Drive/ Sharepoint
  • Familiarity with Instagram/Facebook
  • Public Speaking
  • Help with scheduled events outside regular 9-5 working hours

Required Certifications and Licenses:

None

Department Preferences:

  • Chinese Major/ Minor
  • Familiar with building and implementing social media Calendar
  • Studied Abroad in Taiwan
