Position Introduction:

The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for supporting the medication prior authorization and pharmacy petition review process to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant medication access for patients. Working collaboratively with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and insurance payers, this role reviews prior authorization requests, evaluates pharmacy medication petitions against established clinical criteria, gathers and documents required information, and facilitates communication to support coverage determinations.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • None. This position allows for on-the-job-training and licensure.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • Pharmacy Technician permit issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy OR the ability to obtain an Oklahoma State Board for Pharmacy permit within 90 days from hire date.
