Pay Range: Targeted salary of $17.36 per hour, depending on experience.

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., may include some weekends

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

A successful Research Technician will provide assistance to research staff by independently conducting research experiments, collecting data and samples, keeping records, conducting literature searches, analyzing data, preparing reports and maintaining lab and safety compliance.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Biological Science, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, or other health related field. 
  • No experience required.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months equivalent experience in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

None.

Department Preferences:

  • Prior experience with molecular biology techniques (including western blot, PCR, etc.) preferred.
  • Prior experience handling and maintaining mice breeding colonies and performing animal experiments preferred.
