Position Introduction

Resident Advisors are responsible for assisting the Headington Hall Administration in developing, coordinating, and maintaining a positive intellectual, emotional, and social living environment for students. Student Staff members are selected based on sensitivity to and interest in people, objectivity, and respect for the worth and dignity of the individual, open mindedness on issues that may arise, degree of empathy, the ability to handle autonomy and make decisions; sensitivity to privileged information; and his/her success within the academic community. Resident Advisers are role models. The main responsibility of a Resident Advisor is to provide support, encouragement, and leadership to his/her community.

Required Education and Experience

  • Must be currently enrolled in the Spring 2026 term, and plan to enroll in the Fall 2026 term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status. 
  • Must have and maintain a 2.7 GPA
