Pay Range: Targeted salary $7.25 per hour, based on experience

Benefits Eligible: No

Work Schedule: Schedule will vary depending on a number of factors. Ability
to work evenings, weekends and some holidays as required.

Travel: May be required

Position Introduction:

Student Athletics Photographer contributes to the overall vision and goals of Oklahoma Athletics by capturing moments and engaging content that tells the story of our athletics programs and student-athletes through photos. Student photographers assist the Director and Assistant Director of Photography in coverage/support for all photography-related requests and coverage of the University’s 21 varsity sports, collaborating with the creative staffs to elevate departmental initiatives while ensuring a cohesive style across all department photography.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

  • Communicate and interact effectively, respectfully, and appropriately with co-workers, external media and public
  • Embrace collaboration and willingness to cover any sport as assigned
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Practice a professional attitude when working with outside sources
  • Develop a good rapport with other members of the Athletics Department

Department Preferences:

  • Photography experience must include in-game photography for various sports
  • Knowledgeable of basic photography-related software, including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom Classic Adherence to University, SEC, and NCAA rules
