Pay Range: Targeted Salary: $12/hr based on experience

Benefits Eligible: No

Work Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 am - 4 pm, are required shifts, with additional shifts available if preferred during weekdays.

Travel: May be required

Position Introduction:

Performs routine cleaning in offices and public access areas within OU Residential communities. Tasks are precisely defined. Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 am - 4 pm, are required shifts, with additional shifts available if preferred during weekdays.

Job Duties:

  • Mops, sweeps, waxes, and polishes floors
  • Cleans and dusts furniture, equipment, etc.
  • May locks and unlock offices, classrooms, and conference areas
  • Contacts with others are of a routine nature
  • Collects and disposes of wastepaper and refuse
  • Vacuums carpeted areas where applicable
  • Maintains lavatories and rest rooms in a sanitary condition
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
  • Must attach Fall OU class schedule

Skills:

  • Must have good customer service skills
  • Must be able to work multiple variable shifts
  • Must be able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with visitors, members, students, and staff
  • Must practice effective time management skills
  • Must have the ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative/team environment
  • Must have a strong work ethic

Department Preferences:

  • Any previous customer-service experience
  • Any previous professional cleaning, custodial, or housekeeping experience
