Pay Range: Targeted annual salary up to $57,380, depending on experience

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, Standard/Fixed Schedule

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

Performs complex administrative duties for the department chair. Directs and coordinates daily operations of the office or program by serving as a staff and resource person. Acts as a liaison with internal and external agencies, complies data, statistics and other information.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 24 months experience as a manager in an Accounting, Finance, or Business Office.

Equivalence/Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months related experience.  

Required Certifications and Licenses:

None

Department Preferences:

  • Prior experience supporting a C-suite, or department chair-level executive, ideally in an academic medical center or health system
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and manage a fast-shifting set of priorities without close direction
  • Discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong written communication skills, including drafting correspondence and materials on the executive's behalf
  • Experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder calendars across clinical, research, and administrative commitments
  • Comfort managing travel logistics, conference planning, and external meeting coordination
  • Familiarity with academic promotion, grant, or governance processes a plus
