Pay Range: Commensurate with education and experience

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., may include some weekends

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

In this hands-on role, you’ll support the day-to-day upkeep of athletic facilities: combining turf management expertise with attention to detail to ensure top-tier playing conditions. From mowing, aerifying, and irrigation to painting crisp field markings for practices and game day, your work directly impacts performance, safety, and the overall look of our athletics program.
Working closely with the Director, you’ll take on a mix of scheduled and on-the-spot tasks, all while maintaining compliance with Athletics, University, and NCAA standards.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma 
  • 1 years of athletic fields or grounds maintenance experience

Required Certifications and Licenses:

Valid state driver's license to drive university vehicles or obtain one within 30 days of hire date

Department Preferences:

  • Associates Degree in Sports Turfgrass Management
  • 2 years of experience in field maintenance/management with a Minor League Baseball and/or NCAA Division 1 baseball or softball team
