Position Introduction:

As Oklahoma's flagship academic health center, the University of Oklahoma Health Campus integrates world-class research, education, and patient care. Within this environment, the Office of Human Research Participant Protection (HRPP), fully accredited by AAHRPP, ensures that research involving human participants meets the highest standards of ethics, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, with a strong commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of research participants. We are seeking an IRB Administrator to join our team and play a critical role in supporting the review and oversight of human subjects research. This position provides expert regulatory guidance to investigators and IRB members, coordinates IRB review activities and committee meetings, and helps ensure that research is conducted in accordance with federal regulations, institutional requirements, and ethical principles. Through collaboration, problem-solving, and attention to detail, the IRB Administrator contributes to the efficient and effective operation of the Human Research Participant Protection Program.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3 years of experience in any combination of the following areas: IRB administration, grant and contract administration, clinical research administration, or related field

Equivalency/Substitution: Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree. 

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • Obtain the Certified IRB Professional (CIP) Exam within two years of service
