Pay Range: Targeted hourly pay up to $15.86, depending on experience.

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

The Laboratory Technician position provides professional administrative and academic support related to the daily operation of the undergraduate laboratory belonging to the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. This position ensures continuous operation of all undergraduate laboratories, oversees and manages the maintenance and repairs of laboratory equipment and facilities, handles operational budget associated with the laboratory instructional program, and liaises with departmental and institutional safety committees. This position coordinates with GTAs, Instructors, Electronic Shop, departmental administration and other academic units at OU to optimize and maintain the effectiveness of the laboratory instructional program in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

  • Associate's Degree in a Biological or Physical Science.
