Pay Range: Targeted salary: $24.04 hourly, based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 to 5, with some occasional nights and weekends hours

Position Introduction:

The OU Enrollment Management Communications and Marketing (EMCOMM) team supports enrollment, recruitment, and student success by creating and coordinating marketing and communications for the Division of Enrollment Management. Based in Norman and working statewide, nationally, and globally, we send communication and marketing materials to students, supporters, and stakeholders throughout the application, decision, orientation, enrollment, and graduation process. Our goal is to build a vibrant and dynamic campus community. We seek individuals who exhibit integrity, care, intentionality, and innovation. Scope of Position/Essential Duties: The Communications & Marketing Specialist will assist with email and website communications for the Division of Enrollment Management. This position will focus on communicating with prospective and admitted students (U.S. and international students), parents, and school counselors for the OU-Norman campus, OU-Tulsa campus, Health Campus, and Graduate College.

  • Manage multiple email communication assignments.
  • Use email builder to design effective email communication templates, create hero images, and write copy.
  • Send emails for review and manage updates.
  • Schedule emails in the division's CRM (Slate) for their intended audiences, ensuring a successful delivery.
  • Build, review, and deliver SMS communication.
  • Build queries using filters and exports within our CRM (Slate) to send targeted email and SMS communication to specific populations.
  • Collaborate with division partners, campus programs, and/or academic colleges to create and deliver email and SMS communication.
  • Assist campus partners with tour and event registration and communication, which includes reviewing the registration form and email and SMS communication and delivery, as well as event promotion.
  • Assist email communication team with reviews and feedback.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of email campaigns.
  • Assist with web edits, updates, and redesign of webpages in our CMS (Adobe Experience Manager and Evoq) for websites under the Division of Enrollment Management to create a positive user experience while meeting brand and accessibility guidelines.
  • Monitor progress of assigned projects and meet deadlines.
  • Follow digital accessibility guidelines when creating and reviewing digital communication (WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Perform various duties and requests as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

  • Bachelor's degree Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field.
  • None.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
