Position Introduction:
The OU McNair Scholars Program is seeking a Graduate Assistant to mentor undergraduate scholars as they prepare for graduate education and research careers. This position supports scholars with undergraduate research, conference presentations, graduate applications, and GRE preparation while also assisting with recruitment, workshops, outreach, and program events. We are looking for a collaborative and highly organized graduate student who is passionate about research, mentoring, and helping students successfully navigate the path to graduate school.
The role of the Graduate Assistant is to support the program’s mission through program recruitment, assistance with program activities, and development of mentoring relationships with program participants. Graduate assistant appointment includes: a full waiver of graduate tuition (student is responsible for paying associated fees), a bi-weekly stipend, and health insurance coverage. Graduate Assistants are required to work an average of 20 hours per week. Work schedule may vary.
