Pay Range: Targeted salary $21.50 per hour, based on experience

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

The Research Assistant will formulate liquid aerospace coatings. The work involves blending resins, solvents and additive chemicals using blending equipment to make liquid epoxy-based coatings for metal. They may measure basic properties of these formulations such as settling and viscosity. They will work as part of a multi person team. The specific compositions and blending procedures will be defined and provided to them by another professional in the team. This position will ensure that the coating formulations are produced on schedule and accurately. Basic experience handling chemicals or resins and making basic measurements would be preferable. Work with small scale laboratory mixing equipment will be required.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of research experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
