Pay Range: Targeted salary: $13.00 - $14.50 hourly, based on experience and certifications
Benefits Eligible: No
Work Schedule: M - F, 6:00 am - 8:00 pm, Weekends 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm and some after-hours special events; Shifts vary depending on availability.
Travel: Not required
Position Introduction
Provides lifeguarding, life safety support, and customer service. Maintains concentrated observation of swimmers in duty area in order to anticipate problems. Enforces all policies and regulations; and participates in regular in-service trainings.
Required Experience
- Must be able to swim a minimum of 300 yards using front crawl and breaststroke.
- Must be able to surface dive to a depth of between nine and thirteen feet of water to retrieve a ten-pound brick and exit the pool unassisted without using the ladder.
- Must be able to lift no less than 30 pounds.
- Must be able to respond in an emergency at any time.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Current Lifeguard Certification.
- Current CPR for lifeguards or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certification.
- Current First Aid Certification.
