Pay Range: Target salary up to $48,000 annually, based on experience.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Position Introduction:

The Senior Academic Advisor for Online Undergraduate Academic Advising provides comprehensive, student-centered academic advising and holistic support for OU Online students at the University of Oklahoma. This unit supports adult learners enrolled in fully online undergraduate programs who are returning to higher education to complete their bachelor's degrees while balancing academic goals with work, family, and financial responsibilities. The Senior Academic Advisor guides students from admission through graduation in partnership with OU Educational Services (OUES) and the academic units to support timely degree completion and high-quality academic experiences. The Senior Academic Advisor reports to the Director of Academic Advising.

The field of academic advising affords individuals opportunities for career progression based on professional experience and knowledge of the field. The Senior Academic Advisor demonstrates a level of leadership that is reflected in the assignment of specific responsibilities.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 36 months of experience as a full-time Academic Advisor in higher education.

Department Preferences:

  • Master's degree in academic advising, higher education administration, student development, or counseling preferred.
