Position Introduction:
The University of Oklahoma, as a flagship institution, impacts lives all over the state via its teaching, research, and service. In support of its mission, the university is seeking a Senior Data Analyst in the department of Institutional Research & Reporting, a group responsible for providing accurate information about OU to stakeholders of all types. This position is part of a core team responsible for institutional data set design, maintenance, and analysis. This role owns the design and integrity of our HR data sets, building custom tables and analyses to support both standard and ad hoc reporting needs. The successful candidate will perform data quality checks prior to freeze events, monitor for shifts in reporting norms or coding practices, and maintain deep subject-matter expertise across HR data, partnering closely with partner offices to track evolving coding standards and requirements. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining metadata and supporting documentation, consulting on appropriate calculation methodologies, and staying current on federal, state, and national reporting standards to ensure accurate data design. This position serves as a key troubleshooting resource, diagnosing anomalies and adapting to changes in system usage as they arise.

Required Education and Experience:
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months data analysis, business analysis experience in lieu of the Bachelor¿s Degree for a total of 96 months experience.
