Pay Range: Targeted salary: $16.75 hourly, based on experience

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Hours of operation: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 11:30pm. Work schedule will vary within hours of operation. Will be required to work on some Saturdays.

Travel: May be required

Position Introduction

Responsible for providing bus service around the University of Oklahoma Norman Campus, city of Norman, and possible trips to OKC. Performs tasks requiring good organizational skills. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 24 months experience driving heavy transit vehicles, performing delivery services, or closely related service.

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
  • Class B Commercial Driver's License with ability to obtain an air brakes and passenger endorsement.
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner's Certificate or the ability to obtain with the department's assistance.

Department Preferences

  • Previous driving experience with a public transportation system.
