Pay Range: Targeted salary $80,000 annually, based on experience

Position Introduction:

The Sr Faculty Professional Development Specialist for Teaching within the Center for Faculty Excellence will bring both pedagogical expertise and effective communication practices to support the development of asynchronous resources for faculty by creating content for asynchronous delivery of courses that support faculty development in effective teaching practices; support faculty with customized services to meet their teaching needs; maintain online Canvas courses for faculty; assist in organizing and delivering pedagogical workshops and teaching-related events for faculty; collaborate with stakeholders across campus to support teaching enhancement and instructional interventions; promote best strategies for faculty to effectively teach in various learning environments such as face-to-face, online, blended, and flipped classrooms; promote CFE's teaching technology space and train faculty users.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Commitment to creating digitally accessible material.
  • Ability to envision effective asynchronous online training environments with the resources available and to communicate that vision.
  • Ability to use teaching technologies and a willingness to learn about Articulate tools.
  • Experience teaching and/or developing curriculum.
  • Experience developing asynchronous resources and trainings for faculty.
  • Experience supporting faculty and students working toward learner centered excellence in higher education.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree.
  • 12 months of related experience in professional development facilitation/ training. 

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 72 months of related experience in lieu of the Master's degree for a total of 84 months of related experience.
