Travel: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday to Friday, may include weekends and holidays

Position Introduction:

Come join the staff at OU HSC and become a part of Oklahoma's premier research university which leads the state in education and career opportunities. OU HSC is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges. This position is responsible for the daily care of research animals, to include but not limited to cage cleaning and sanitation, handling and restraining animals, feeding, treatments, and facility maintenance.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience in animal care, veterinary assistance, laboratory research environment or related field

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • An American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) Certification as an Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT)
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
