Pay Range: Targeted salary of $12.00 per hour based on education and experience.

Benefits Eligible: No

Work Schedule: Shifts assigned Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Desired availability for Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

Student Office Assistants provide a welcoming, inviting atmosphere while performing front desk assistance, including reception duties, guest check-in, answering multi-line phones, answering questions, design work, art exhibition prep, data entry, office mail organization filing and other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

  • Serve as the front-line assistant to guest visiting the OU School of Visual Arts Office
  • Answer phone calls
  • Assist with administrative task (such as making copies, filing and scanning documents, running errands, restocking office supplies, organizing work areas and storage spaces, distributing mail)
  • Designing various materials
  • Help with art exhibition materials and handling
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

Must be currently enrolled in the Fall Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.

Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Experience with design programs such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet.
  • Applicants must be team oriented, accountable and able to work independently.

Department Preferences:

  • Strong ability to design digital materials.
  • Strong ability to work independently.
