Student Assistant – Physical Therapy (Summer)

Pay Range: Targeted salary of $9.25 - $10.00 hourly based on experience

Benefits Eligible: No

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

To assist patients with treatment in the Physical Therapy department under the supervision of the physical therapists and the physical therapy tech.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring is contingent upon verification of current student status.
  • Must attach Spring, Summer, or Fall class schedules as applicable.

Duties:

  • Check patients in/out
  • Schedule appointments
  • General maintenance – clean beds, wipe down equipment, laundry
  • Assist with modalities – hot/cold packs, ultrasound, ESTIM

  • Interact well with people
  • Computer skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Able to understand and comply with instructions

Department Preferences:

  • Interest in health career
  • General understanding of anatomy helpful
