Pay Range: Targeted salary of $9.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Benefits Eligible: No

Work Schedule: 10-20 hours per week between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

The University of Oklahoma's Career Center office is a centralized office helping students and alumni in the areas of career exploration, career development, internship opportunities, as well as professional employment upon graduation. The Career Center's student employees are an integral part of the smooth and successful running of the day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities vary and could include such duties as:

  • Engaging professionally with recruiters, employers, students, and office visitors
  • Performing front desk assistance including reception duties, appointment check-in, answering multi-line phone
  • Distribution of flyers and posters around campus
  • Assisting with other special projects as assigned
  • Must be available to work 10-15 hours per week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Required Education and Experience:

Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma.

Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service.
  • Familiarity with Career Center mission and resources.
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking.
  • Work well as part of a team or independently

Department Preferences:

  • Enrolled with freshmen or sophomore standing in the Spring 2027 semester.
  • Interest in a long-term commitment with the potential for promotion to an internship.
