Pay Range: Targeted salary of $33,000, based on education and experience.

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

The Student Services Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for the Department of Anthropology graduate program and daily departmental functions. This position serves as the department's primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, visitors, and university partners, coordinating communications, scheduling, events, records management, and technology needs to support the department's academic mission. Responsibilities include managing front office operations, departmental email communications, website and social media content, course scheduling in coordination with Classroom Management, room reservations, and departmental events. The position also coordinates graduate program paperwork and maintains confidential student and departmental records in compliance with university policies and procedures.

Additional duties include coordinating visitor parking, ordering office supplies, overseeing copier operations, and serving as the departmental liaison for technology-related equipment and service needs, including computers, phones, printers, and projectors. Performs related responsibilities as needed to support departmental operations and strategic objectives.
