Pay Range: Targeted salary up to $60,400 per year, based on experience

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

Facilities Management is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of the Utilities Division. This position plays a critical role in managing complex utility accounting functions, providing advanced financial analysis, and ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and rate development for campus utility services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced financial analyses to support utility rate modeling, capital project oversight, and strategic budget planning.
  • Develop, validate, and implement utility rate structures and related financial models.
  • Analyze utility usage and historical costs, identify trends or anomalies, and communicate findings to campus stakeholders.
  • Prepare and design complex financial reports and customized reporting tools for utility operations.
  • Forecast utility usage and costs, conduct variance analyses, and support long-term financial planning.
  • Maintain continuity and accuracy in essential accounting functions, including commodity billing and invoice processing.
  • This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional seeking an opportunity to provide strategic financial oversight and support the University's critical utility operations.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 18 hours of accounting coursework.
  • 24 months experience as a professional Accountant.
