Pay Range: Targeted salary $21.00 hourly, based on experience

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm. Some overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required On-Call Rotation

Travel: Not required

The University of Oklahoma is hiring a Utility Maintenance Mechanic to support the systems that keep our campus running every day. The Department of Facilities Management plays a vital role in meeting the University's ever-changing needs. Within Facilities Management, Utility Services Maintenance is responsible for all corrective and preventative maintenance associated with OU¿s district energy plants including heating steam, chilled water, electrical production, and campus wide utility distribution. As a Utility Maintenance Mechanic, you will help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient utility operations across the Norman campus.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4 months experience in electrical instrumentation repair and mechanical repair of large equipment such as boilers, diesel engines, generators, or chillers.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • Valid Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date.
